Nonwovens bring an entire new dimension to buffing by eliminating the need for buffing compounds. Nonwovens are constructed such that the abrasive media is dispersed throughout the material; as a result, as the material wears, the abrasive component remains uniform.
Nonwoven Flapbrushes, available in diameters from 4" to 20" and variable widths, may be constructed with abrasive grits of coarse through ultra fine, in both aluminum oxide and silicon carbide. The firmness of the buff may be varied from soft to firm. These flapbrushes require minimal operator training, and provide consistent results between operators.
Satin Airway Buffs are also constructed from nonwoven material, but are constructed in a process similar to cloth bias buffs. The airway buffs have a metal ring in the center, and discernible layers of nonwoven material. These buffs also enjoy the advantage of a consistent finish, even as they wear, and are also available in grits of coarse through ultra fine. Sizes range from 8" diameter up to 18", in two or four ply, with optional centerplates/arbor holes.
Satin Finish Discs & Buffs are versatile items that are used in a myriad of applications, as required by the user. These discs are available as single discs, or may be sewn together to form 2, 3 or 4 layer satin buffs (typically with leather centers). Sizes range from 2" to 18" for single discs, and 3" to 6" for the satin buffs. Grits range again from coarse to ultra fine.
